I am the only one in my family who likes watermelon but I still buy it. I can't believe neither Travis nor Emma like it. Oh well at least there is one thing I don't have to share bites of. ;)

My friend the photographer

One of my really really good BEST friends is a photographer. She does amazing work and I am super proud/excited for her and her new business adventure in photography. She is just getting started but you would never guess it. I think her work speaks for itself.

Let me introduce her. Her name is Valerie but we call her Val most of the time or my little girl pronounces it like Valwee. ;) She is married and has one beautiful little girl named Aubrey Claire.

funny things

First off I love love love my new blog layout. I think it's perfect.  Dream like magic on etsy designed it for me. :)

I want to remember a few funny things our almost 2.5 year old princess has been saying and doing lately.

We have been working on potty training. Some days are good and some days are bad. The pooping thing has been the hardest. She has a very sensitive gag reflex which doesn't help matters. If she does have a good day and poops on the potty she usually ends up with glassy eyes and saying that stinks all while gagging a little. lol She has thrown up on me once already. Usually when she has an accident in her panties I tell her I am very disappointed in her. Well apparently she has picked up on this little saying because Saturday night her and Travis were playing and she stuck her stubby little pointer finger up and said "Daddy, I very disappointed in you." It took everything he had not to bust out laughing at her and I had to hide my face because I couldn't control myself.  SILLY GIRL!

She also has noticed that Barbie has boobies. She only has on little Barbie out of a Happy Meal that we keep in the car for her to play with. The other day I put her in the car and she asked for her Barbie so I handed it to her. As I was getting in she said "momma, Barbie has boobies." I, a little shocked said "WHAT?" She repeated it again. "Barbie has boobies." I replied with "Yes, Barbie does have boobies, but we don't touch or talk about them. In fact we don't touch or talk about anyones boobies."

We also have a video of Miss Thing singing ba ba black sheep that is too precious. She knows the words to numerous songs but this is the only one we have caught on video so far.

Blah...

So...I'm NOT at all excited about tomorrow. I have an OBGYN appt. It's the dreaded glucose appt. Not only do I get to drink a cup of nasty-ness but I get stuck numerous times and I have to stay there for over an hour. To make matters worse Im almost 100 positive Im going to get in trouble about my weight. I have heard my new OBGYN is very strict on weight. We shall see tomorrow. To top all of that off we have to have a second ultrasound because they couldn't see Miss Hadley's spine last month. Were praying everything is perfect with our little Hadley. So if you could please pray we can see Hadley's spine and all is perfect and that I pass my glucose test. Thanks in advance.

The weather is crazy here. We are under a tornado watch until 11pm with possible hail. SCARY!!!

It's a...

So baby number 2 is another GIRL!!! :) I truly thought it was a boy, but the hubs told me from the day I found out I was pregnant it was another girl. Emma even said from day one she was having a baby sisser or sister for those of you who don't speak 2 year old. ;) We had some friends over a few weekends ago and one of the moms told her little girl that Emma was going to have a baby brother or sister. To which her little girl replied with "Emma is going to have a baby brother." Emma quickly spoke up and replied with "No, I have a baby sisser." The funny thing is at the time we still had no clue as to whether the baby was a boy or a girl.

So another girl it is and her name... Hadley Elizabeth!!!
Hadley Elizabeth is sort of a family name. Travis', His grandpa's and my grandpa's middle name is Lee and we almost spelled her name Hadlee but decided we liked it spelled better with a y. And of course Elizabeth is my name.

starting over

let's just start over. hi my name is elizabeth. i'm married to travis and we have a little girl named emma grace who is our world.

here are a few recent update.

first update: we are expecting number two in aug. this baby was a bit of a surprise but we are super excited none the less. we will hopefully find out if it's a boy or a girl at the end of march. 

• first dr. visit  (1/5/11) i had a sonogram, heard the heartbeat for the first time-178, had blood drawn and met my new dr. 
• second dr. visit (2/2/11) HR in the 150's
• third dr. visit (3/1/11) HR in the 150's and had blood drawn for the quad screen. should know the results in 1-2 weeks

update numero dos: my little brother and his girlfriend of six years finally got engaged. 

update number 3: our house is under contract as of last tuesday night. it all happen so fast. our realtor called and asked travis if we could show in 20 minutes. he of course said yes and jumped in his truck and left work to come home and clean. i had just gotten to my moms to drop emma off so i could go to a hair appt. when i got a phone call from travis that went like this "hey babe, don't freak out but (then a short pause from him) we are showing the house in 20 mins. he got home, vacuumed, cleaned hide all of my junk in the bathroom, turned all the lights on and got out of there before they showed up. i guess it wasn't too nasty because they wrote up a contract and we had it within 2 hours. of course our realtor came over too talk about everything. she ended up leaving about 8:20 pm with a signed contract from us. now just praying the buyer doesn't back out because we are closing on march 15. EEK!!! 

update number 4: this has been emma's sickest winter. :( we have had numerous visits to the dr. she is currently taking antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection and her 4th ear infection. this ear infection bought us a trip to the ENT dr. she is scheduled to see her on march 7. 

i think i have touched on a few of the major things that have happened recently. i am going to try and update more often. no promises but i will try my best. :)

Mother's day and Father's day gifts

I have been hearing that I need to update my blog. lol I really haven't felt like it. It's easier to just read blogs and move on. So it might be a while before I blog again. With that being said. Emma Grace really stepped up her game this year when it came to gift giving. She ordered me a super yummy cake from The Bakerman here in town.

          Then she surprised me with this new perfume. It's the original Ed Hardy and it smells so good.

And to top the Mother's day off she got me one of these. Her daddy has had one for over a year and she finally decided that I needed one too.

So for Father's day she also had to step up her game. Can't show favoritism so she let her daddy (who is a runner) design his own shoes at nikeid.com. They take upto 4 weeks to make and ship.

As you can see they are custom because not only did he get to pick the colors out but they have his name on them. (TSTRATE)
